ANPR technology or automatic number plate recognition technology was originated in the year nineteen hundred seventy six in the United Kingdom and it became operation in the police department jobs in the year nineteen hundred seventy nine. ANPR solution is also known by other names like LPR system, NPR system, Car Plate recognition and automatic vehicle identification. Both ANPR technology and ANPR solution are commonly used terms in various government departs, particularly in the police departments.
The technology used in ANPR technology is application of recognition software for optical character for scanning images to go through the number plates of the cars. The ANPR solution is constantly being evolved and developed. Its main utilization lies in police tracking work and security.
